June 8, 2021 | Quick Tip Tuesday – The Newcomer Group

Ask questions! Learning about your potential realtor helps you decide if they’re the best fit for you and your family.

There are a couple specific questions when interviewing your potential real estate agent. The first question is experience. Don’t just go with someone that says:

“I’ve got 20 years in the industry.”

Take it a little bit further; yeah that’s important, but if they’ve been in the industry for 20 years but only sell two or three homes a year, they probably won’t be a good fit.

If that doesn’t seem like the best experience, ask how long they’ve been doing it for but then also ask how many sales do they have – what their track record is like.

Ask them for some possible reviews, or a list of additional customers they’ve worked with in the past that you can possibly vet

You want someone who treats this like you are the employer and that real estate agent is the employee. It’s important who you work with and this isn’t something that happens overnight whether you’re buying or selling. Take the time interview ask about experience how many reviews they have and how many sales they’ve had in the past That’s your tip for the day!

In this Tuesday series, we will be defining terms, myth-busting, and answering frequently asked questions. Feel free to submit some you would like answered! https://www.thenewcomergroup.com/contactus. We would love to help!
