Get To Know Maureen:

  • My favorite sweet treat?  A cold popsicle at The Hyppo. They have the most unique flavor combinations and it's so much fun to grab one you've never had before and stroll through historic St. Augustine. However, I'm an ice cream girl all the way and there's a great local spot called Cold Cow. They have over one hundred flavors and the portions are huge! I get chocolate peanut butter every time and enjoy it outside on one of their rocking chairs.

  • I'm weirdly obsessed with The Lightner Museum. My grandma used to take me there as a child to feed the Koi fish in the courtyard. The building itself has such an interesting history, the grounds are stunning, and the displays are so intriguing. Tip: If you have a St. John's County license, museum admission is waived every Sunday all year round!

  • My absolute favorite restaurant is The Manatee. It's locally owned and operated, they have vegan and gluten free options, and literally everything on the menu is delicious. I highly recommend the Veggie Pita! Keep in mind it is only open until 3pm. For dinner I love going to Cap's On The Water in Vilano Beach. It's a stunning local restaurant that provides an award-winning wine list, innovative cuisine, and an ambiance you can't find anywhere else. I always aim to get there before sunset so I can grab a table and look out on the water to watch the sun set while eating dinner with friends and family.
